Gak!

This sock is kicking my butt.
I had to frog the first 4 rows about 4 times..Then I got the hang of it and spent the entire night working on rows up to 13.
Then today, I picked it up to see if I could really master the pattern--and lost it.
I've had to rip back 3 rows again and now I've lost my place....
It's so pretty and I just want to keep going--but now I'm stuck.
The YO's are tricky and when I rip back they disappear......
sigh.
it's nice though--and I think I was right about the yarn needing to be this pattern.

The twisted rib--soooooo pretty:

I'll have to study it this weekend.
No more posting for me--I'm in laundry-land as we leave tonight for a weekend away for Canadian Thanksgiving.
It will be so much fun--I LOVE Thanksgiving.
I love pumpkin pie, turkey leftovers, fall air, coloured leaves. Love Love Love it!.

I bought one of these "warm pie" lipbalms

as seen here:
with a description of "apple, cinnamon, maple, vanilla, and pumpkin" I could not resist.

I also had a great cup of tea while knitting the socks. Gingerbread Tea.
Have you tried Adagio??
You'll see the link on the sidebar for a $5 coupon if you enter your e-mail address.
It's sooooo worth it.
My sister told me about it and has ordered some. I ordered the Ingenui-Tea maker and lat years holiday spice flavour sampler (I don't see it there but it has Gingerbread, Pumpkin Spice, Cranberry, Chesnut, Candy Apple and Candy Cane).
I've given a set as gifts. Another nice thing is, you can get points!
I have sent out some invites and if people redeem them, I get points toward a future order.
It's happy tea!

OK enough about tea, must get packing

It's my Dad's Birthday today!
Happy Birthday Dad!!!

Bye all--we're back Monday night...

That color is beautiful for Pomatomus! I hope the sock is no longer "kicking your butt". I found that once I got into it, it wasn't so bad. They are so worth it in the end, the twisted stitches give the sock such a nice texture.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving!
