Cue Hallelujah Chorus

Seriously.
I have been racking my brain to figure out what to do with the Spirit Trail Yarn, formerly known as the Pomatomus sock.
I hadn't been able to think of anything and it was making me crazy.
So yesterday, I come downstairs to see my 1.5 y/old son wrapped in the yarn. He apparently has found my knitting bag, opened the ziplock and had pulled the yarn clear across the room, around the kitchen table and was tangled in it....good-bye Pomatomus sock.

So,I have been ogling the Embossed Leaves sock, googling in, stalking pictures on Flickr feeling a little sad that the pattern is only available through Interweave knits magazine.
Lolly even did a interview with the designer which further fueled to my stalking and need to knit this sock.
So, I'm sitting here a few minutes ago--listening to Lime and Violet on the "Knit Pod" as Princess B calls it--I stretch, look over to my right and spot
"Interweave Knits, Winter 2005".
That's right people, the ONLY IK that I have, has the sock pattern in it!

As I said, cue Hallelujah Chorus now....
Sigh--happy day.
Now, if I can only untie the knots that were created when a certain cute little 18 month old decided to dress himself in the yarn (could it be that he wanted to be the Pomatomus for Halloween?).
I'm all set.

YAY! I'm so happy for you! That's how I felt about the Newsboy Cap from Stitch N' Bitch Nation. lol

I know how you feel about the toddler in the yarn. My kids did something similar to a Jaywalker I was working on. Except, I was doing two at a time and only one sock was damaged.

hahaha, You make me laugh twice (fake-rhinebeck is hilarious for me as a Dutch (european) girl), and to discover "unknown" knittingbooks/mags etc in your own home is the point when you can call yourself a "VIK" very important knitter, I guess.
I have a 14 months old girl who's adoring yarn/needles etc: solution: boxes with plates on it that will click on the sides. My almost 4 yo knows how to open it: but I can explain to him that's not what I want! Good luck with your EL'socks! Groeten uit Holland

LOL! I love the thought of the 18 mo. all wrapped up in yarn!
Embossed Leaves is on my must knit list. I've got a skein of Socks That Rock that will be perfect for them.
